General Description

The IDE controller, which is compatible with the ATA/ATAP1-7 specification, utilizes native driver in Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. It supports not only a Scatter/Gather DMA mechanism that complies with the Programming Interface for Bus Master IDE Controller Revision 1.0, but also one IDE channels and up to two IDE devices.

IT8213F brings motherboard manufactures and system customers the capacity to extend IDE function with PCI Rev.2.2 interface. In addition, with the leading design of 512-byte FIFO for IDE channel, IT8213F offers an enhanced transfer performance. Customers could easily implement IT8213F in PC motherboard.
