General Description
The
device consists of a USB2.0 PHY and device engine, 2K buffer, twin
turbo version 8032 micro controller with extend 1K program SRAM, and
IDE controller. The IT8903AE can work with a full function at a full
speed or high speed USB transfer mode.
The IT8903AE supports one IDE channel with two devices for various
kinds of ATA/ATAPI devices such as hard disk, CD-ROM/R/RW, DVD-ROM,
DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW. Through Reading/Writing external flash,
IT8903AE provides a flash interface that customer can perform firmware
upgrade and other specific applications, and the controller supports
2-wire and 3-wire Serial EEPROM interface to store vendor ID, user ID,
and customer parameters. Besides, it provides 15 programmable GPIO
pins for programmable function use.
The
IT8903AE can operate in Win XP, Win 2000, Win ME, Mac OS 8.6 and
above, and Linux OS without driver needed. It also can operate in Win
98SE with device driver.
