ITE Tech. Inc. (abbreviated as ITE ) is a professional fabless IC design house, established in 1996 and headquartered in Hsinchu Science Park.
Founder
Vincent Hu
Vincent Hu is a one of the founders of ITE Tech, a spin-off of the Computer Product Business Unit from UMC in 1996. He served as vice president of the R&D team. In 2000, he was promoted to CEO of ITE Tech. With his tremendous efforts and dedication to the company, ITE Tech successfully completed its IPO in 2002. In 2004, he was named Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Prior to ITE Tech, he was the head of the Computer Product Business Unit at UMC, to which he joined in 1984 and has held various positions within. With his solid engineering background, he delivered 486 chip sets and brought in significant amounts of revenue for his business unit. He also implemented a successful plan to spin off the cell library department, which later on became Faraday Technology Corporation, a design service company.
Vincent Hu holds a masters degree in EE and a bachelors degree in control engineering, both from National Chiao Tung University.

ITE started from the development of PC and NB Controller chips in the early years and takes the global lead in Super I/O as well as Keyboard and Embedded Controller technology. Following steady growth, ITE gradually expands in the product line and technology field. ITEs core technology includes High Speed Serial Interface, Video Codec, Touch Sensing, Surveillance, OFDM, Sensor Fusion, and so on.
