IT6561: Single Chip 4 Lane DisplayPort to HDMI Converter with Embedded MCU
The IT6561FN is a high-performance single-chip DisplayPort to HDMI converter. Combined with DisplayPort receiver, HDMI transmitter, the IT6561FN supports DisplayPort input and HDMI output by conversion function.
The built-in DisplayPort receiver is fully compatible with DisplayPort 1.1a and HDCP 1.3 specifications. With 4-lane HBR (High-Bit-Rate) configuration, the DP receiver can support VESA resolution up to WUXGA (1920 x 1200@120 Hz) or WQXGA ( 2560 x 1600 RB@60 Hz) or support CEA resolution up to 1080P@120 Hz or 4K x 2K@30 Hz. This DisplayPort receiver also supports MCCS over AUX channel.
The built-in HDMI transmitter is a high-performance HDMI 1.4 transmitter, fully compliant with HDMI 1.4b, HDCP 1.4 and backward compatible with DVI 1.0 specifications. This HDMI transmitter can support color depth up to 36 bits (12 bits/color) and ensures robust transmission of high-quality uncompressed video content. Aside from the various video output formats supported, this HDMI transmitter also supports 8-channel digital audio, with sampling rate up to 192 kHz and sample size up to 24 bits.
With embedded MCU and Flash, IT6561FN is easy to program through the ISP interface or DP AUX channel. Customers need no external Flash and MCU, which saves the BOM cost and board size.
With embedded 3.3V to 1.8V/1.2V Power Regulator, IT6561FN can optionally use single 3.3V power supply for PCB design. Customers need no external power regulator to save the BOM cost and board size.
Each IT6561FN comes preprogrammed with an unique HDCP key, in compliance with the HDCP 1.3--Amendment for DisplayPort, rev1.0 and HDCP 1.4--HDMI compliance standard so as to provide secure transmission of high-definition content. Users of the IT6561FN need not purchase any HDCP keys or ROMs.
