Sustainability Committee

ITE has established the "Sustainable Development Best Practice Principles" as the basis for its sustainable development performance in response to the promotion of sustainable development in the areas of environment, society, and corporate governance (hereinafter referred to as “ESG”). The Sustainability Committee was formed in 2022, comprising three functional groups: Environmental Sustainability, Social Prosperity, and Governance Transparency. These groups are responsible for driving sustainability-related work and management. The respective responsible departments within each group collect stakeholder concerns on issues such as the environment, occupational health and safety, supply chain management, labor rights, operational performance, and corporate governance. They then formulate and promote appropriate sustainable development strategies in a timely manner. Respecting stakeholder interests, ITE has established a dedicated stakeholder section on its website to appropriately respond to their critical sustainability concerns.

The Sustainability Committee reports to the Board of Directors at least once a year on the implementation results and future goals of material issues. If necessary, in response to changes in the environment or regulations, the frequency of meetings can be adjusted flexibly. In addition to regular committee member attendance, the convener may invite members of the working groups to participate based on the agenda items. In response to the Corporate Governance 3.0 roadmap, which emphasizes "Strengthen duties and functions of board to enhance the sustainable value of enterprises," "Enhance information transparency and promote sustainable operations," "Strengthen communication with stakeholders and create effective interaction channels," "Encourage stewardship and align with international norms" and "Deepen a corporate culture of sustainable governance and provide diversified products." The Sustainability Committee also responds to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by reviewing the effectiveness of the annual sustainable development goals and focusing on improving the disclosure of sustainability-related information and strengthening information security. With the PDCA management spirit, ITE aims to lead the company on a path of continuous improvement and growth in sustainable development.
