IT6564: Single Chip 4 Lane DisplayPort 1.2 to HDMI 2.0/VGA Converter with Embedded MCU

The IT6564FN is a high-performance single-chip DisplayPort to HDMI and VGA converter. Combined with DisplayPort receiver, HDMI transmitter and triple DACs, the IT6564FN support DisplayPort input and HDMI/VGA output by conversion function.


The built-in DisplayPort receiver is fully compatible with DisplayPort 1.2a and HDCP 1.3/2.2 specifications. With 4-lane HBR2 (High-Bit-Rate 2) configuration, the DP receiver can support VESA resolution up to WUXGA (1920 x 1200@120 Hz) or WQXGA (2560 x 1600 RB@120 Hz) or support CEA resolution up to 1080P@120 Hz or 4K x 2K@60 Hz. This DisplayPort receiver also supports MCCS over AUX channel.


The built-in HDMI transmitter is a high-performance HDMI 2.0 transmitter, fully compliant with HDMI 2.0, HDCP 1.4/2.2 and backward compatible with DVI 1.0 specifications. This HDMI transmitter can support color depth up to 36 bits (12 bits/color) and ensures robust transmission of high-quality uncompressed video content. Aside from the various video output formats supported, this HDMI transmitter also supports 8-channel digital audio, with sampling rate up to 192 kHz and sample size up to 24 bits, and HBR audio.


The built-in triple DACs can each support 8 bit color with 200 MSPS throughput rate.


With embedded MCU and Flash, IT6564FN is easy to program through the ISP interface or DP AUX channel. Customers need no external Flash and MCU, which saves the BOM cost and board size.


Each IT6564FN comes preprogrammed with an unique HDCP key, in compliance with the 1.3/ 2.2 --Amendment for DisplayPort, rev 1.0 and HDCP 1.4/2.2--HDMI compliance standard so as to provide secure transmission of high-definition content. Users of the IT6564FN need not purchase any HDCP keys or ROMs.
