The IT68353 is a highly integrated one port USB type-C/PD controller with dual port DisplayPort and single port HDMI 2.0 to HDMI 2.0 converter. Only one of the DisplayPort ports can be configured as USB-C.


The IT68353 has integrated type-C DFP/UFP/DRP resistors and controls logic with dead battery support. For the USB PD application, IT68353 supports PD 2.0 completely, and PD 3.0 with the chunk mode completely. The built-in dual port DisplayPort receiver is fully compatible with DisplayPort 1.4a and HDCP 1.3/2.3 specifications. With 4-Lane HBR3 (High-Bit-Rate 3) configuration, DP receiver can support VESA resolution up to WUXGA (1920x1200@120Hz) or WQXGA (2560x1600 RB@120Hz) or support CEA resolution up to 1080P@240Hz or 4Kx2K@60Hz. This DisplayPort receiver also supports MCCS over AUX channel. The built-in single port HDMI 2.0b receiver can support 6.0 Gbps/channel capability and up to 18 Gb/s bandwidth. It's fully compatible with HDMI 1.4b/HDMI 2.0b, HDCP 1.4/HDCP 2.3 and also backward compatible with DVI 1.0 specifications.


The built-in HDMI transmitter is a high-performance HDMI 2.0 transmitter, fully compliant with HDMI 2.0b, HDCP 1.4/2.3 and backward compatible with DVI 1.0 specifications. This HDMI transmitter can support color depth up to 36 bits (12bits/color) and ensures robust transmission of high-quality uncompressed video content. Aside from the various video output formats supported, this HDMI transmitter also supports 8 channels digital audio, with sampling rate up to 192 kHz and sample size up to 24 bits, and HBR audio.


With embedded MCU and Flash, IT68353 is easy to be programmed. Customers need no external Flash and MCU, which can save the BOM cost and board size.


Each IT68353 comes preprogrammed with a unique HDCP key, in compliance with 1.3/2.3–Amendment for DisplayPort, rev 1.0 and HDCP 1.4/2.3–HDMI compliance standard so as to provide secure transmission of high-definition content. Users of the IT68353 need not purchase any HDCP keys or ROMs.
